Disneyland Winter Wonderland

Here they are, all five trillion of them! I took so many pictures and it was hard to choose my favorites! I hope looking at them gets you all in the cheery Holiday mood and if you ever get a chance to go to Disneyland during Christmas-time, take it! The combination of my two favorite things made me more than overjoyed. It made me super-joyed.

By the way- none of these pictures are edited, and they aren't the best quality. Sorry, but I'm much too lazy.

I am back and I am excited!

You guuuuuuys! I've missed you! I am back from my fantastic Thanksgiving trip to California. It was lovely to see my sister and of course, go to Disneyland. But most of all- you amazing people gave me the best surprise possible:

I now have 100 followers! I've hit the triple-digits!

I realize that my little blog is still, well little, but you have no idea how much this excites me and makes me happy. Thank you for being awesome! I have a lot to post coming up, including my December (*cough* Christmas *cough*) Playlist and all my Disneyland pictures- which are quite amazing. Disneyland is beautiful during Christmastime- I almost lost my mind entirely.

Here's a little preview. Gorgeous right?

Onward to Disneyland!

I'm off to California in a mere number of hours! I have to go back to school first though... While I'm typing this I'm also frantically trying to eat lunch and pack. It will be so worth it though- I'm so excited to see Disneyland with all the lights up!

I just wanted to let y'all know, because I won't have anyway to blog while I'm away. If you want to live vicariously through me I will be updating and posting pictures on twitter- so find me there: TWITTER!

Outfit: Scarves Make Me Happiest

Apparently I didn't want to look at the camera today...

I fell in love with the scarf the moment I saw it. I knew I had to have it right away... and I admit I have a scarf problem. I will never, never have enough scarves. My mom was nice enough to buy this one for me, but under the condition that she would wrap it for a Christmas present.

Wondering why I'm wearing it then? The answer: I'm totally impatient. I walked into my mom's room at about 6:30 this morning and asked her where this scarf was. She reminded me it was a Christmas present. My response:

"Well, I want to wear it today."

I think my mom knew she was going to be fighting a losing battle, so she just said she'd go get it, and something along the lines of I'm not going to have any Christmas presents left.

Oh well- I got to wear my cool horses-that-look-like-they-have-fish-bodies-and-a-little-bit-unicorn scarf. And I loved it.

My Wrists Were Cozy ♥

It was chilly today, which is perfect weather for some wrist-warmers. Now that it's getting to be winter I've started crocheting like crazy again. I love the holiday season, and because I'm a choir kid- Christmas started for me in October. It wasn't until this week that I started playing Christmas music, making Christmas lists, thinking up ideas for presents and declaring it time for Christmas....

...but first it's Thanksgiving time. That last dreary picture would be my view from my window into my backyard. That's not even half the leaves that I will need to rake. Yay!

Moral of the story- I warn you to be prepared! Holiday time is my favorite time- and I will embrace every happy, Christmas-y thing about it!

"The Call"

Can you spot me? I'm there!

I know I've been a little internet absent lately- but I have a good reason! This past weekend I was a part of two Veteran's Day Concerts, which premiered the song "The Call" from Grammy-nominated composer Dave Metzger. Seriously so amazing.

The song was commissioned by the Willamette Master Chorus and they asked us to join them in their concerts. Veteran's day is kind of a big deal where I'm from.

Dave Metzger wrote the score for Kung Fu Panda and the Broadway version of The Lion King. Oh and you know the music that plays with the Walt Disney logo before every Disney movie- he arranged the newest version of that too. He's the closest to famous that I've ever-encountered, and I got to talk to him. The whole thing was a really cool experience.

But that's over now! So hopefully I'll be on here more often before I have to leave for Thanksgiving! I miss all my lovely bloggers!

The song starts a few minutes into the song by the way. I love my parents dearly, but they just don't get technology.

November Playlist

Today seems like a good day to post my November playlist. At about 6pm I'll be on my way to a giant choral/orchestra rehearsal for a Veteran's Day Song, The Call, composed by Dave Metzger, he's a Grammy winner guys (Lion King on Broadway music...) and he's from Salem, Oregon. I'll have to share more about that experience after it happens, for now enjoy my November music! Christmas music is right around the corner....

Okay... I've already started to listen to it. :)

Outfit: Saving & Plaid

So here's the story. Want a really good jacket for way cheap? Buy them in the spring. Makes sense right? I got this jacket last year for about $17 and it's a $70 coat. I'm still short, I'm warm and I didn't break the bank. Score.

Same thing for jeans. I love the way Miss Me's and all those look, but they are just way to expensive for me to justify spending. So, I got these from Ross. Like $12 and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Can I just express how excited I am that it's Friday? I am so excited. Even though I had Monday off of school, this week just seemed to drag on. It was just mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting. You know those moments when you're completely unprepared to hear something? That was last night for me.

But! All is well. Tonight I'm making curry and watching my loves: Chuck and Grimm. It's what having no social life is all about.

Happy Late Halloween

Halloween was spent carving my pumpkin that I designed myself (it's Eevee) and handing out candy with my best friend and mom. Oh and eating, lots of eating.

My favorite from the trick-or-treaters was a little boy who giggled, then asked me, "Are you being a vampire?" then pointed at and asked my best friend "What's your name?" and just stood there. His mom ran up and said "You don't have to ask everyone what their name is!"

Little kids are amazing.
