Outfit: Saving & Plaid

So here's the story. Want a really good jacket for way cheap? Buy them in the spring. Makes sense right? I got this jacket last year for about $17 and it's a $70 coat. I'm still short, I'm warm and I didn't break the bank. Score.

Same thing for jeans. I love the way Miss Me's and all those look, but they are just way to expensive for me to justify spending. So, I got these from Ross. Like $12 and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Can I just express how excited I am that it's Friday? I am so excited. Even though I had Monday off of school, this week just seemed to drag on. It was just mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting. You know those moments when you're completely unprepared to hear something? That was last night for me. 

But! All is well. Tonight I'm making curry and watching my loves: Chuck and Grimm. It's what having no social life is all about.

So I've been a little internet-absent lately. Life has been pretty jammed packed and unfortunately life comes before my blog (that is, when I have a life). Over this past week I had my first piano lesson, a visit to OSU and a football game. I am loving piano, my instructor even told me that I'm not a beginner, which made me feel pretty darn proud being self-taught and all. The Oregon State University Preview day was great- it just reminded me how much I love it, and motivated me to get my application done (which I still haven't...) So much to do, so little time right?

Also, keep Misty my Golden Retriever in your prayers. I think she may have had a little seizure this afternoon and is a little confused still. She's doing a little better now fortunately. Send positive thoughts our way please! :)

I want it to be Spring! Outfit

It is so cold in Oregon. It's not too bad right now, my computer says its 43 degrees but that is not what it feels like in my house. I'm living in an igloo! It's supposed to start snowing this week. Now I know that may not seem bizarre for some people but for a born and raised western Oregonian, snow in late February is like a flood in a desert. It rains here, a lot, but that's about it. None of this crazy snow stuff.

I am very much wanting it to be spring time, and cold, gloomy weather is not going to stop me from wearing cute dresses. Problem solving is all it takes. Tights, boots and my faux fur jacket and presto! Dress is ready to face the freezing morning. My dad told me I looked like a crocus this morning, trying to bloom through the snow. Pretty deep for 7am conversation. Haha
