New Glasses!

Just a quick post to share my excitement. I just got my new glasses today! Yay! They're Dolce & Gabbana. Fancy right? It actually makes me nervous just wearing them...I'm kind of a klutz.

I see a lot of new faces, well names, I see a lot of new names. Hi new people! I just wanted to give you a big thank you. I was having a really bad day yesterday (and I have a cold) and to come home to all your sweet words really made my day. Thank you thank you thank you. I hope y'all stay a while. :)

My Nails are like Pumpkin Glitter

I LOVE FALL!
My apologies, just thought I'd get that out of the way. Fall is by far my favorite season. The cool weather, boots, scarves, sweaters, Pumpkin Spice Lattes (YUM), just everything about it.

Well except school. I'm really tired of school already. Sad, right? It's been about three weeks. I've been toiling away at college application essays and reading and yada yada yada. I'm ready to be done with high school.

I do take some time to do my least favorite activity: painting my nails. Does anyone hate nail painting as much as I do. It's a chore for me. But this color makes me very happy and reminds me of what a pumpkin were to look like if it were glittery. So the task-reward balance is pretty okay.

Well, I'm off to work on my OSU essay questions! I should be getting my new glasses sometime this week! I'm very excited for that and even more impatient. Catch all you lovelies later!

The polish is Sinful Colors All About You #921. It's a little more yellow in some lights, a little more orange in others. Either way its glittery and fantastic.

Outfit: Awake My Soul

 Poncho? Forever 21
Yet another outfit from sometime last week.

I am very very tired. To the point where I'm just a tad hysterical. You know- the whole laughing at things that aren't even the slightest bit funny. On top of being tired I am completely overwhelmed. And how am I dealing with that?

By blogging and listening to Mumford and Sons of course.

Oh and we took our Senior Class Picture today- which absolutely no one new about. Good planning school, good planning. Oh well, I'm by my two best-est friends- so I can't complain.

Outfit: My Problem Free Philosophy

So I kinda lied about the Internet being back on the computer. It still hates me sometimes. I'm hoping that will get all figured out soon. I've actually been super busy lately and am staying busy with school-work. This past Saturday I went to the Oregon Zoo and H&M with my best friend and parents, then on Sunday I saw Lion King 3D which I loved. Lion King has always been one of my favorites. When I was little I would sing

"it's our problem preee, pill-os-o-pee!"

I didn't quite have the ph noise figured out yet. My family still all sings it that way.

 Skirt: Forever 21

This outfit is from hrrmmm sometime last week? I think? In keeping with my Lion theme: last week a girl told me she "loved my hair and that it reminded her of a lion's mane. But it's awesome." Not going to lie to you, that made my day.

My wonderful school decided to switch schedules on me my senior year and now we have "early release". Because of my off campus that means I go to school at 6:45 but then have a huge chunk of dead time from 9:05-12:20. I spent that cleaning. I definitely did not want to go back. Ugh.

I'm also having a tiny panic attack about college right now as well. I don't know where I want to go, I don't know what I want to do, I JUST DON'T KNOW! AH!

Sorry about that...I hope everyone survived Monday!

Back-To-School Beauty Products

The internet on my computer is back! Hoorah! Now I can catch up on blogging again, because you know I have enough time for that... I thought I'd share some of my new favorite beauty products that I just recently discovered on here. Fun right? A little skin-care, hair-care and make-up. I can't live without these babies anymore. Descriptions are under zee pickchures.

1. Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream from The Body Shop. This stuff is amazing. Pure magic. It is made for combination skin and of course "mattifies" to make putting make-up on way awesome. I use some pretty strong facial cleansers and creams for evil acne which dries out my skin, but I also get some lovely oil shine. This doesn't completely cure that, but it definitely helps and makes your skin soft. Oh and it smells good and is very cool & refreshing on early mornings.

2. John Freida Liquid Shine Color Glaze. If you have never used a home-treatment glaze in your hair (doesn't have to be a color one, there are clear ones as well) go buy one NOW! If you have never been to thebeautydepartment where I learned of my hair's new bff go NOW! I'm not kidding. I put this one every time I was my hair after I condition and it makes my hair softer and shinier and just AH! Just amazing.

3. Body Shop Eye Shadow. Unfortunately I don't know what these are called, but they are a fairly new line there and fun. Of course almost all Body Shop stuff is fantastic- so it doesn't really matter. This particular one is just perfectly metallic-y and sparkly without being over the top. In the last picture you can not only see me doing something embarrassing, you can also see what the eye-shadow looks like.

And that's all folks. Of course I have more products I love but these are just my favorites now. I had fun posting this today on the functioning internet and will be hoping that my computer/internet has forgiven me and will continue to work for me. Off to do homework! Yay! Hope everyone makes it through the rest of the week. Only one more day!

I Hate Technology

Just so you know, I've been gone and probably will be for a while because the internet in my house is all wacked out. We seriously don't know what's wrong. Oh and my computer is making an awesome buzzing/humming noise so the hard drive is probably going to explode sometime in the near future. Faaaantastic.

In the mean time I'll be doing homework and housework and that kind of stuff. Endless amounts of fun while my blog posts get all backed up. Yay! I hope everyone is doing well! If not, who else wants a vacation? I know I do.

Ten Years Ago...

I was just seven years old on September 11th, 2001 but I remember the day clearly. My mom had just left to take my sister to school and she called my dad in a panic and told him to turn on the tv. I  had not left for my day of the first grade yet and was sitting watching tv. I remember sitting there watching the planes crash into the towers and witness them crumbling to the ground- like nothing.

My point of this post is not only to remember all the innocent and brave people that lost their lives that day, but also to remind parents of something. While you may be afraid to tell your younger children about the attacks because you don't think they will understand, I understood. I of course could not comprehend why someone would hate us that much, but I understood the seriousness, I understood the loss of lives and the importance of the unity of our country at that time. It is more important to talk to children about these things, because they will find out and will be curious. Talk to them.

The rest of that day was spent in my classroom, watching the news and listening to my teacher talk about it. It did drastically change the lives of Americans. I don't know if I've ever been in an airport since that wasn't in Orange level (high risk) security. The majority of my life has been influenced by terrorism, recession and war. Some children it has been the entirety of their lives.

My dream is that one day there would be no terror, no fear, no hatred. But unfortunately we as people don't try hard enough to understand each other, our pride stops us from apologizing and we can't forgive. One day, maybe everyone will really try.

Outfit: Purple is Pretty

Dress: Target
I made it through my first week of school! I'm still alive! I went to the first football game of the season last night which happened to be the big rivalry game. Everyone knew we would lose (like always) but it was still fun. By the end of the first half I don't think anyone was even watching the game anymore. It was fun to spend time with some of my friends that I hadn't seen all summer outside of school.

I slept in today after a long first week of school and waking up way to early and I am planning on having a lazy day today. Eat, watch tv, catch up on blogs, play piano and maybe do some homework. We'll see how that goes... Have a nice fun/relaxing Saturday everyone!

Oh by the way! The purple hair is a clip in extension. I didn't dye it.

Outfit: Last First Day

Shorts: Charlotte Russe Tank tops: Old Navy

That's right- it was my last first day ever as a k-12 public school kid. Yay? This time next year I will be a big bad college student. I can tell you already that this is going to be a fun-filled, but exhausting senior year for me. I have to be at school promptly at 6:45am... 6:45 AM. That's very early. All you early-birds out there: I hate you. Well I guess I don't hate you... I just really envy your ability to not be an awful, grumpy, emotional, giving-up-on-life, unmotivated monster like some people. Okay, like me.

Oh and since when does Oregon get a heat-wave in September. Actually when does Oregon get a heat-wave ever? It was almost 100 degrees today. It's supposed to be this hot all week. The combination of lack of sleep, lack of clothes that wont cause me heat stroke, and the extreme heat, and school of course, may just push me over the edge.

But I will just smile and laugh it off. Because that's what you do in life. Being grumpy just...makes you grumpy.
